Why Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem?

Scripture gives us a clear and personal invitation. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may those who love you be secure.” (Psalm 122:6) This is not a political statement. It is an act of love, and it is something every believer can do.

For more than 30 years, on the first Sunday of October, the global Church has carried out that mandate together. When you pledge, you join them.

Because Scripture calls us to it.

Praying for Jerusalem is a direct instruction from the Word, and a privilege we share with the whole body of Christ.

Because unity matters.

We pray for the wall of separation to come down (Ephesians 2:14), for relationship between Christians and the Jewish people to be restored, and for love to replace division.

Because the world needs it now.

As antisemitism rises, the Church has a chance to stand for justice and peace. Prayer is where that stand begins.
